We nurture an understanding of the world and its major challenges, and help students discover how they can serve others and make a positive contribution to society.
The founder of the UWC movement Kurt Hahn once said that if a school were a ship, than students should be seen as the crewmembers and not as the passengers on board. This means that the UWC consider their students as their greatest resource, as the crewmembers who will steer the school forward. Students are actively encouraged to develop initiative and responsibility in all areas of school life. Together with their teachers, they are invited to create an educational experience in line with their ambitions and talents in pursuit of the common good.
