Senior Business Controller in Sittard

As Business Controller for the Headquarter (HQ) at Boels Rental you are the financial conscience of several central departments at our headquarter. Your main focus (about 70%) will be on Fleet departments which cover the purchasing, maintenance, performance steering, and sales of our rental equipment. Next to that, other HQ departments such as, Finance, Real Estate and IT are also in your scope. Combined, those departments are responsible for a spend of 1B EUR. In the cooperation with these departments, you and your colleagues in HQ-Controlling, bring financial and business expertise and know-how to constructively provide new insights, to challenge and advise on possible improvements. You do this based on insight and substantive arguments, clear “data driven” steering information and with persuasiveness. In doing so, you are able to apply theoretical context with sufficient pragmatism focused on the needs of the stakeholders. You are closely involved in the CAPEX decision-making process and you monitor the performance of your assigned central departments.

As a Business Controller for the Boels HQ, you bring in financial expertise and combine it with business acumen to bring the Finance and other HQ-departments to the next level.

Other responsibilities are:
•  Providing management with financial analysis & advise.
•  Facilitating strategic projects such as acquisitions, sustainability projects and financing projects.
•  Forecasting, budgeting, and reporting regarding P&L, Capex and cash flow.

What do you bring?
•  Education: Master level of education, ideally complemented by a post-master degree (e.g. RA/RC).
•  Experience: at least 7 years, preferably within the private sector, in a similar role.
•  Attitude: you have a high level of perseverance, are decisive in making decisions and thrive in a fast-changing environment.
•  Analytical skills: You posses excellent analytical skills, can quickly grasp complex issues and know how to translate this to the business effectively. You are able to dive into details when needed, but always keep focus on the bigger picture.
