This is what the Project Manager does, and this is how you make the province more beautiful, innovative and sustainable

You have a solid understanding of the focus areas of the Interreg Meuse-Rhine program and the relevant legal framework. When a project application comes in, you know how to assess whether the project will truly make an impact and is financially feasible. You provide tailored advice to support this assessment. You also prepare decisions regarding the subsidy grants. Once a project kicks off, you're ready to guide its implementation because you enjoy achieving results. You do this by regularly reviewing reports and visiting projects to monitor progress—both in terms of content and finances. If needed, you help projects implement changes. In short, you lead an interesting portfolio of projects on various topics, guiding their implementation. Knowledge exchange with other project managers and European colleagues is essential to you. This way, you are committed to creating the best societal impact across borders.

The following requirements apply for this position

• Have at least 5 years of work and thinking experience at bachelor level, preferably with European-funded (cross-border) programmes or projects;
• Have demonstrable experience managing projects, both content-wise and financially;
• Have thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the programme area (French, German, or Dutch) in both writing and orally and being fluent in English;
• Possess behavioural competencies such as result orientation, integrity, and planning and organising skills.

How we appreciate your contribution

• A gross monthly salary of € 4,232.08 to € 5,972.80 based on a 36-hour workweek (scale 11);
• An Individual Choice Budget (ICB) of approximately 22%, including holiday allowance (8%), and a structural year-end bonus (8.3%). This ICB comes on top of your fixed salary and can be paid when you prefer. You can also use it, for example, to purchase a bicycle, sports club membership, or extra leave;
• Opportunities to work flexibly to some extent and independently of location;
• Personal training budget of € 6,000 for a five-year period with sufficient opportunities to work on your development;
• Pension accrual at ABP (Dutch pension fund for civil servants).

Working as a provincial professional

Within the department Interreg Meuse-Rhine you make the difference for inhabitants of Limburg through cooperation within the program area. For this you will push your boundaries every day. You work in different places in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany to maintain close contact with other European programs. In doing so, you will face challenges for which you can make full use of your specialty and broaden your expertise at the same time.
