We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Coordinator to manage and oversee the flow of materials for our organization. The Material Coordinator will ensure smooth operations by handling inventory, processing orders, inspecting shipments, and maintaining strong communication with suppliers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and efficient material management.
What you’ll do
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of materials and maintain accurate records to ensure timely replenishment. Track materials that are low in stock and initiate reordering to prevent delays in production.
- Order Processing: Process material requisitions, ensuring all orders are placed and reviewed in a timely manner. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to guarantee prompt and accurate delivery of materials.
- Receiving & Inspection: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders to ensure materials meet company standards before acceptance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with safety regulations. Promote and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Supplier Communication: Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Address and resolve purchase order issues and negotiate lead times when needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Internal Support for internal and external projects: Collaborate with internal teams to gather information needed for creating material lists for internal and external projects. Ensure materials are aligned with both internal and external requirements.
- Material Implementation and Management: Assist in the integration of materials into the system, ensuring proper tracking and inventory management. Collaborate with various departments to create and maintain stock for both ongoing and upcoming project
- Material/Sample Shipment Coordination: Manage and coordinate the shipment of materials and samples to and from client sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- MBO or Bachelor's degree in an organizational or supply chain management area.
- 0-3 years experience in material coordination, supply chain, or procurement, preferably in a technical or R&D setting.
- Proficiency in SAP and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for vendor interactions and internal alignment.
- Ability to streamline material workflows in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Workflow Examples: examples of consumables and reagents used in the manufacturing and analysis of RNA therapeutics.
