As part of the Development & Relations Team you are involved in using marketing instruments and communication tools to reach, inform and inspire the international community of Hotel Management School Maastricht, as well as potential new students. The primary focus is our bachelor programme. You support the team and ensure a strong brand identity within the community.
About the job
As community coordinator you coordinate, create and monitor content for our social media accounts: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube and the intranet and internal narrowcasting system. You do so both independently and by working closely together with a (new) team of student content creators, which you coordinate. Our social media accounts are integrated in our content strategy. You will take ownership of the content calendar and make sure that the created content is fitting to our strategy, events, online campaigns (SEA), and community. Besides that, you review our online performance by analyzing data. You will also maintain the website of the school, you are jointly responsible for the content management (SEO), editing content on the website as well as writing short blogs and news articles. Part of your responsibilities is managing the image database and supporting in marketing and communication projects.
Most important is that you feel connected with our mission to present ourselves as academic top player and to maintain our position as leading institute in the field of international hospitality management.
As a person, you are organized and structured, with an eye for detail. Curious, and a true connector, who will proactively collect content within the organization. In collaboration with colleagues of team Development and Relations and various involved stakeholders (students, lecturers and alumni) you will make sure that different activities are converted in engaging messages in a creative, inspiring or informative way. You maintain an overview, stay focused under pressure, ask questions, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You work in a structured manner and have strong problem-solving skills.
With at least an HBO education in the field of Marketing/Communication/Social media/Journalism, relevant work experience of minimum 2 years and excellent skills in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing, you are our wished candidate!

A position between 0.6 - 1.0 FTE depending on your availability, in a salary scale awarded depending on your qualifications and experience at level 8, with a minimum of € 3.233,14 and a maximum of € 4.376,46 gross per month when appointed full-time.
To this is added holiday allowance (8%) and a fixed year-end bonus (8.3%), a generous number of holidays and employability hours and a complete offer to work vitally and with pleasure.
