Assistant Treasurer in Sittard

As Assistant Treasurer, you are responsible for further developing the Treasury department within Boels. Together with the Group Treasurer you are looking after the liquidity, funding and financial risks. This entails that you will contribute to projects in the field of cash management, payments, financial risk management and financing.

The Treasury department at Boels Rental, located at their headquarters, is crucial for managing funding, cash flow, and financial risk to support the group's growth strategy. With a small team of 3 specialists, the department handles all aspects of financing and financial management.

In this role you are in close contact with various internal and external stakeholders. Together with the Group Treasurer and the Cash Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Treasury department. But you are also actively involved in developing financing strategies on a daily basis.

Other responsibilities are:

  • Update and develop Treasury policies in consultation with the Group Treasurer.
  • Analyse and negotiate cash management fees.
  • Carry out projects in the field of cash management and payments.
  • Manage the intercompany loan portfolio.
  • Liaise with the internal departments Financial Control, Legal, Tax and the external Auditor regarding Treasury activities.
  • Participate in integration of acquisitions into Boels treasury structure.

What do you bring?

  • Education: HBO degree in economics.
  • Experience: at least 3 years, in a similar role. In addition, you also have experience with the use of the MS Office and Treasury Management System.
  • Attitude: you are ambitious about finance, self-motivated and pro-active.
  • Skills: possesses excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Language: You have excellent knowledge of both the Dutch and English language, any other languages are a plus.
