Your challenge

We are looking for a strong Assistant Finance Controller to join the plant. Among other things, you advise the management on financial and business issues. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Controller on the following tasks:

1. Month end close (local system & group reporting with all relevant submissions)
2. Performance analysis – explaining results / driving improvement
3. Opex Saving, Procurement Saving validation
4. Working Capital – assisting local management team with optimization
5. Year end Audit
6. Preparation of Consolidated financial statements for the Netherlands Group
7. Monthly Cash Flow & Outlook forecast
8. Ad hoc reporting – usually group driven such as tax
9. Budgeting process
10. Assist with standard costing creation project
11. Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with preferably 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position within a production company. In addition, a suitable candidate has the following background:

• HBO/BSc level towards administration, accountancy or business economics;
• Excellent Dutch and English language skills, both verbally and writing;
• Experience with ERP systems and good command of Excel. Knowledge of Access is an advantage.

Hard skills:

• Accounting – IFRS and local GAAP knowledge with either a past experience in accounting (audit, accounting practice, accountant role) or proven use in past experience
• Tax – knowledge of Dutch tax law
• Financial Analysis (Net Present Values, CAPEX assessment, savings calculation)
• Working Capital management

Soft skills:

• Ownership and ability to act as an owner of the business
• Productivity–ability to work under pressure and to improve time spent on deliverables over time
• Communication: ability to communicate clearly easy and more complex concepts – ability to influence his/her surroundings to improve the financial performance of the plant
• Connectedness: ability to develop the finance function as the corner stone of the site (in a matrix structure). Ability to be an enabler for the site.
